Air Algerie, established in 1947, is the official national carrier of Algeria. Between (1947 and 1974), Air Algerie was the property of the Air France flight. An Algerian operator, was incorporated in 1998 as partnership between Sonatrach,(Algerian government-owned company formed to exploit the hydrocarbon resources of the country and operates exploration, extraction, transportation and refining of oil wells), holding 51% and between Air Algiers holding 49%.
